AREA DEVELOPMENT

This Area Development Scheme has been prepared by NABARD to increase the flow of credit to accelerate the pace of capital formation in agriculture especially under the Animal Husbandry sector and also to ensure SHG/JLG members take up income-generating activities on a sustainable basis in the district.
Funds under special area programs are meant to deal with the specific problems of these areas. Hence special plan strategies are formulated and schemes drawn up by the State Governments keeping in view the basic needs of the people and existing environmental and socio-economic considerations.
