OLD AGE HOME

They are in constant company of people their own age. If their children are away from home, they have to live alone and that can cause stress and depression. Living in an old age home may give rise to feelings of abandonment as well. Loneliness is also an issue. Applicant must be destitute and having no regular source of financial support form family members or any other sources is eligible for old age pension. BPL widows and BPL persons with severe and multiple disabilities in the age group of 60 -79 years are not eligible for this scheme.
